According to the final newsletter from the now defunct Wild City project:

Wild City is able to announce through the newsletter that 4 of their sites are about to be designated as Local Nature Reserves (LNRs) – Avon New Cut, Lamplighters Marsh, Narroways and The Northern Slopes. This will bring the total number of LNRs in Bristol to 12.

The newsletter itself says this:

Wild City is pleased to announce that 4 of our sites are about to be designated as Local Nature Reserves (LNRs). Avon New Cut, Lamplighters Marsh, Narroways and The Northern Slopes are now at the final stage of the LNR designation process, the culmination of 3 years of sustained effort from the Wild City team and Friends Groups. Because LNR is a statutory designation it provides a very clear signal to each local community of the local authority’s commitment to nature conservation on that site.
