Narroways – Nature Uncovered

Next Saturday, 18 May 2013, is the next Narroways volunteer day. However, this time it’s a special event – as part of Bristol 99 (bristol99.org.uk), we’re hosting a day of wildlife walks and nature recording on the hill.

Join some expert naturalists to discover and record the wonderful insects, flowers, trees and birds on Narroways.

10.30am – practical conservation

11.30am – free refreshments

12.30pm – 1st walk and recording session

2.00pm – 2nd walk and recording session

Everyone is welcome to join us on this great day out. Meet in the cutting on Narroways Hill – we’ll have a gazebo set up there, and there will be at least one volunteer at the gazebo throughout the day to point you in the direction of the latest activity.

The whole event should run from 10.30am till 3.30 or 4.00pm. Feel free to turn up at any point throughout the day, and stay for as long as you like.

If possible, please let us know that you are coming – information@stwerburghs.org or 0117 378 9858.

Part of Bristol 99 – see bristol99.org.uk

Supported by Bristol Natural History Consortium and Bristol City Council

If you can come along, it’d be great to see you.

Also, it should be a fun and informative day out, so do please tell your friends, family and neighbours about it – the more, the merrier. The nature walks and recording sessions running from lunchtime onwards should be particularly suitable for kids, so please bring all the family!

Look forward to seeing you there! And remember we’re meeting in the Cutting not by the seat on top of the hill, as we usually do on volunteer days. But I’m sure you’ll find us anyway!
